Pierce Campbell: News

Welcome to 2009! - January 26, 2009

I have officially finished my 2 year stint as State Troubadour. I am
pleased to announce the new Troub is Lara Herscovitch. She is an
excellent singer songwriter with her fourth CD due out this year. Her
web site is http://www.laraherscovitch.com/home.html Please check it out!

Tony and I are taking January off from our regular Wed. night jazz
duo show at Maggies in Brookfield. Keep posted for the start up again
in Feb. One of my goals this year is to book more jazz shows. We have
been working on many new songs including a few originals! We are also
doing a few Funky Butt Jazz Band shows in February for Mardi Gras,
including the annual fundraiser for the Patrons of The New Haven
Public Library at the New Haven Lawn Club on Mardi Gras!

March is really busy with The Kerry Boys, so stay posted for those
shows. I'll probably get Feb & March dates up in the next couple of
weeks so you can plan ahead. We are working on our 4th CD due out for
the summer. We have a great lineup of traditional and original songs!

I am also playing a bunch of shows this year with John Banker, CT's
hardest working musician, on the weekends at the Griswold Inn in
Essex. These are classic sing along nights where we play anything and
everything. I also just played with his group, Island Rhythms, for the
first time last week. Maybe there will be more of those too, ya never
know.

I seem to be playing more electric guitar than acoustic these days,
which is alot of fun for me and I have my trusty 66 Telecaster back in
action after Tony refinished it in Candy Apple Red, the classic
Fender/Chevy color! It's awful purdy!

I am continuing to do many senior shows during the day as well as CD
mastering in my studio for TUTM Entertainment. You'll find their party
CD's at all the party stores as well as Target, Wall Mart, CVS and
other big box stores. On a good year I'll master over 125 CD's for
them! There's never a dull moment!

Here's to a great 2009!
